You will not need a product key to install the application but you will need one to activate the product. Use the MS FixIt utility in this MS KB to automatically remove whatever installation of Office However before you start, to eliminate the posibility of version conflicts, it would be best to cleanse the computer of any other installations of Office. If you downloaded any other Trial Edition (such as Home & Student or Professional), the MAE product Office 2007 MAE is really Office Standard 2007. Your could run into this problem if you did not download the correct Office Trial edition.
